Animals SeriesThis series depicts a variety of animal, bird and marine life. Booklets and cards of different values are arranged in various different sequences. I have chosen the sequences of the 90c and $1 series as the standard layout. Note therefore that in series of other values the stamps are not listed in numerical order of their serial numbers. 45c stamps with Postie's Choice logo

90c stamps
These stamps appear to exist in multiple types even though there is only one stamp of each design on each card of stamps. I do not have a complete sheet of stamps and therefore cannot analyse these design types, but one definite variety I have noticed is on stamp ANI 161d: the serial number exists with and without a space between "05/06" and "1185". 5c stamps, small size
These stamps appear to exist in multiple types even though there is only one stamp of each design on each card of stamps. I do not have a complete sheet of stamps, and therefore cannot analyse these design types, but understand a complete sheet to comprise five cards of ten stamps. The most obvious variety is the variant serial number listed above as ANI 188e. 5c stamps, larger sizeThese stamps are slightly larger than the October 2006 printing. In these printings, the Kea design is replaced by a duplicate example of the Kingfisher design, but the serial number is left unchanged.
$1 stamps
These stamps may exist in multiple types even though there is only one stamp of each design on each card of stamps. I do not have a complete sheet of stamps and therefore cannot analyse these design types. |
