Richard was born on November 14th, 1819 in Lusby and his christening took place there on November 25th, 1819. Richard's father was Digory JOLL and his mother was Martha MAW. His paternal grandparents were Digory JOLL and Elizabeth KNIGHT; his maternal grandparents were Richard MAW and Mildred BANKS. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, John, Elizabeth, Matilda, Ann, Mildred and Martha. He died at 1 months old on December 25th, 1819 in Lusby. He was buried on January 6th, 1818 at St Peter (Lusby), Lusby.¹
